Paul Revere is a Pastor assigned to the Embassy of Heaven Church in Sublimity, Oregon. He speaks with Biblical authority on the consequences of changing identities. The following is edited from a 1987 Church newsletter:
Just think what life would be like if we were totally free from the fear of being cited or having legal papers served upon us! What if we were "ineligible" to ever receive a traffic ticket? What if no government official - city, county, state, or federal - could ever serve us with court papers for allegedly violating one of their rules? What if no court in the land from Municipal to Supreme could ever hear an action against us?
If this sounds like an impossible dream, think again. What is impossible in the kingdoms of men is possible in the Kingdom of Heaven. I am just beginning to experience the liberty in Christ. What I'm realizing stronger every day is that Christ's ambassadors cannot be cited or served by governments of men. Nor can they be judged by their courts because Christ's ambassadors represent another nation - the Kingdom of Heaven.
Those who follow the ruler of this world are straddled with a heavy burden. They are cited and arrested at the whims of government. They are forced to fill out government forms establishing their compliance with every jot and tittle of the law. Why is this? Because it is assumed their father is Satan and that they are like their father-liars and thieves. Therefore, they are guilty until they prove their own innocence. Citations are used to keep the world's children in line.
Those who walk as children of the Light have had these heavy burdens of the law lifted. They are led by the Spirit and are not under the law (Galatians 5:18). They have made no agreements with Caesar, so Caesar cannot demand that they render back to him. It is assumed they are seeking the righteousness that comes from above. Therefore, they are innocent until proven otherwise.
Citizens of Heaven fulfill the need for worldly governments. Laws are made for the unrighteous, not for the righteous. Why would civil governments want to cite us? There is no justification for citing citizens of Heaven who are already living more righteously than the law requires. If we have been reborn and sin no more, worldly governments have no work to do among us.
9Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers.
